Children of Tor: Code of Conduct
Basic Version is meant to be simple and avoid visual overstimulation.

By participating in Children of Tor, you agree to abide by the Code of Conduct. This Code of Conduct is designed to ensure a respectful and inclusive community where all members can enjoy their roleplaying experience. We expect each member to adhere to these guidelines. Please familiarize yourself with these rules, and if you have any questions or concerns, a member of the moderation team will be happy to assist you. Your cooperation helps create an enjoyable and welcome space for all participants.

Age Restriction: 18+
∙ All members must be 18 years or older upon joining the server.
∙ If you lie about your age you will be perma-banned.
🔞 NO minors, NO exceptions. 

➳ One Account Rule and Account Responsibility
∙ Each member is permitted ONE forum account.
∙ You are responsible for your account and all content that is posted by you.
∙ If you are found to have more than one account, all associated accounts will be banned.
∙ These rules both apply to plural systems as well.

Be Respectful
∙ No discrimination or prejudice of any kind.
∙ Any form of harassment is not tolerated.
∙ Threats in any form are not tolerated.
∙ Disturbing the peace is not tolerated.
∙ No public blacklists or DNIs.

Inappropriate Language
∙ Excessive cursing is frowned upon.
∙ Absolutely no derogatory slurs.
∙ No hate speech or offensive language of any kind.

Respect people's boundaries.
∙ Respect each other's pronouns and identities.
∙ Censor sensitive topics with spoilers.
∙ Use trigger warnings (TW) in titles.
∙ No unsolicited PMs or advice/critiques.

Be Mindful of Tone
∙ Pay attention to your tone and the impact of your words.
∙ Consider the use of tone tags in out-of-character (OOC) interactions.

Member Privacy Policy
∙ Respect the privacy of others.
∙ No sharing personal or private information.
∙ Do not share identifying personal information.
∙ (full names, addresses, phone numbers, cities, etc.)
∙ Do not ask others for this information.

Spamming and Flooding
∙ Do your best to post in the correct forums.
∙ Use each forum for its intended purpose.
∙ Avoid posting off-topic content in threads.
∙ Avoid excessive or repetitive characters in replies.
∙ Do not post multiple replies in a row.

Bumping Topics
∙ "Bump" literally stands for “Bring Up My Post”.
∙ Avoid "bumping" in-character (IC) topics.
∙ Only bump out-of-character (OOC) topics if they get pushed back a page.
∙ If your topic is pushed back a page, only bump every 72 hours (3 days).

Trolling and Raiding
∙ Absolutely no trolling or raiding of the forum or server.
∙ No conspiracy to troll or raid the forum or server.
∙ No conspiracy to troll or raid another site.

NSFW Rules
∙ No linking to or uploading NSFW content.
∙ (including websites, images, galleries, or videos)
∙ Do not PM NSFW material to members of the forum or server.
∙ No graphic mating scenes or references to mating.
∙ Blood and gore should be politely spoilered with a trigger warning.
∙ Absolutely no zoophilic content or sexualization of animals in any way.
∙ Sheathes in visual art is ok as long as it is not the focus, or sexualized.

Profile Content Rules
∙ Profile content should abide by all other rules.
∙ No NSFW profile content.
∙ Keep signature content at an appropriate size.
∙ (signature content should never be larger than a single post)
∙ Maximum dimensions for profile pictures is 300 px height by 200 px width.

Advertising
∙ Avoid unsolicited self-promotion.
∙ Do not advertise or solicit in PMs to other members.
∙ Advertise appropriately in the designated forum.
∙ Be sure to read the in-depth Advertisement Rules there.

Reporting Guidelines:

It is each member's responsibility to report rule-breaking behavior if it is suspected. Moderators are always happy to listen and assist with issues or concerns, so please do not hesitate to reach out if you think something needs attention.

  1. Identify the Rule Break: 
    Clearly recognize the specific rule that has been broken.
  2. Gather Evidence: 
    Collect relevant evidence, such as screenshots, direct quotes and links.
  3. Contact a Moderator: 
    Reach out to a Moderator via Private Message, detailing the incident and providing evidence.
  4. Include Context: 
    Offer additional context or information to help the Moderators understand the situation better.
  5. Remain Calm and Respectful: 
    Communicate in a calm and respectful manner, focusing on the facts.
  6. Wait for Resolution: 
    Allow Moderators time to investigate and address the reported issue.
  7. Follow Up if Needed: 
    If necessary, follow up with the Moderator for updates and clarification.
